The Japanese method of Hands-on Healing
Reiki
If you feel drawn to being held in a safe space of non-judgment, relaxation, understanding and compassion, then Reiki may be for you. During Reiki, a Japanese hands-on energy therapy, you are given an opportunity to rest, receive, release, heal and harmonise, as you journey towards physical and emotional wellness.

Reiki treatments
A typical session involves you comfortably resting fully clothed under a blanket whilst I use my hands to work with your energy as well as to “read” your energy to offer guidance to you. Your preferences and need for safety will always be listened to and honoured. I may also be drawn to using the Reiki Drum, an instrument that helps regulate your nervous system and helps you to arrive in the present moment. A Reiki treatment feels different for everyone but some of the descriptions I hear daily from my clients are: Calm, deeply relaxed, transformative, healing, spacious, clear, connected, held, loved.
Reiki School and Reiki Community
If you have benefited from receiving Reiki, you may wish to take the next steps to empower yourself to offer Reiki to yourself and others. You may embark on your Reiki training journey for relaxation and self-care, or to become a practitioner, or like myself and many others, to use Reiki as a path to physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing and fulfilment.
There are many variants of Reiki these days, all of which are hugely beneficial to the individual. As a Reiki Master, I teach Usui Reiki Ryoho, the original and most popular Reiki method.
What does Reiki training involve?
I choose to use a traditional approach of Reiki teaching, which I have updated to incorporate our current understanding of trauma and the nervous system. I utilise both Eastern and Western methods to enable you to embark on a personal healing journey in the process and to deepen your experience of Reiki in a spiritual sense. Therefore each Reiki degree level takes a few months to complete and all I ask from you is whole-hearted commitment.
Your successful training will result in certification and enable you to register with the main Reiki regulation bodies in the UK.
My Reiki courses are done on a one-to-one level or in small groups to ensure that the student can develop according to their own needs. During your training you will receive home practice and will be expected to engage with this accordingly. I am here to support you on your journey, via Reiki mentorship. I believe Reiki training is a “Time of student and Master working together”.
Lalki Therapy Reiki School also has a thriving community of Reiki students and practitioners here in South Manchester. We meet regularly and enjoy Reiki Shares, Reiki nourishment days, workshops and walks. In our Reiki community we support and encourage one another as we deepen our own practice and develop both as individuals and as a collective.
