Hypnobirthing
Using the Easibirthing UK-accredited programme
About Hypnobirthing.
Working with an expectant person is a favourite specialism of mine. It’s an opportunity to support individuals or couples to step into a new way of being and connect to their dreams and inner resilience as their parenthood journey unfolds.
Although being pregnant can be exciting, emotions are tainted by thoughts of childbirth, often eliciting a sense of fearful anticipation and uncertainty. As all the people who have worked with me agree, preparing your mind for birth is extremely beneficial in ensuring you thoroughly enjoy the reminder of your pregnancy and have the best birth experience possible.

Gouri
Your birth is all about you, your expectations, your beliefs and most importantly your wishes.
The Easibirthing® method
Easibirthing® is an accredited evidence-based holistic birth education course, developed in the UK in conjunction with midwives. The course has a heavy emphasis on the deeply relaxing and powerful state of hypnosis but you will also enjoy learning specialised breathing techniques, birth planning, talking therapy, meditation, visualisation and yogic movement.
I love receiving all the birth stories from my clients about how the Hypnobirthing not only “really worked” but also increased their ability to flow though daily life with more ease.

Adapt sessions
We will explore and re-visit your needs, anxieties and wishes continually throughout your sessions so that together we ensure that we create a birth that feels hugely empowering and perfect for you.
I work with not only first time parents but parents who already have children.
I also adapt sessions to help ladies who have suffered previous birth trauma and/or miscarriages as these situations create a uniquely challenging and often anxiety-ridden experience for women and couples.
Easibirthing® is also adapted to women who are having a planned C-section or are planning to embark on a vaginal birth after C-section (VBAC).
I feel that the most useful aspect of the course was to explain to both of us how we could try and manage through the process, it meant we were able to work as a team.
In particular, my partner was able to offer support and understood what I was going through.

Client
After a very traumatic first birth I was very nervous about going through it again. A friend recommended hypnotherapy to us.
It was absolutely amazing and we felt very confident about the labour. Gouri made me feel totally different about childbirth and excited rather than scared. I had a fantastic labour that happened really quickly.

I had a six hour labour and was able to have a water birth in a relaxed environment.
Having such a calm and happy childbirth has definitely contributed to how well I have bonded with Sophie in the early days after the birth..
